The largest gem and mineral show in the world and the anchor of the Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase, when some forty shows across the city sell rough and cut stones, minerals, fossils and tools for two to three weeks from late January. The main show at the Convention Center is open to the public; the trade fairs around it (AGTA GemFair, GJX) require trade credentials. Where goldsmiths and dealers buy their coloured stones for the year.
